Maintenance Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Raymondville, TXMay 29, 2013
as Maintenance there never is a typical day at work, each day brings it's own set of challenges and you deal with each by prioritizing. i learned that as a manager you treat each situation and person as if they are all that matters, this to get all issues addressed and completed. coworker the same you deal with them according to their issue and importance. the hardest part of the jobs was always preparing for audits, this because it was a very stressful time ,but at the same time that was part of what would drive me to get a good score and pass my audits.

Not a good work place for officers with families.
Corrections Officer (Former Employee) –  Raymondville, TXSeptember 30, 2012
On 3rd shift it was easy to work with three officers in the dorms. Some occasions were unfavorable. I learned not to get caught up in inmates problems and let the ranking staff members handle that part of the job. Management was excellent depending on which ranking staff members were on shift. Many of the co-workers did things that were not advisable by ranking staff members. The hardest part of the job came when ther were fights and riots inside the dorm areas such as gang vs. gang. Learning the do's and don't of becoming a corrections officer.
Pros
ranking staff members were always on call at the facility.
Cons
false accusationsconsisting of officer so and so did this or did that.
