Outside Sales (Former Employee) –  Maumee, OHJanuary 11, 2016
A typical day consisted of me traveling to call on roofing companies in Northwest Ohio selling them virtually anything that you would roof a home or business with. I learned a lot about the product line and the NW Ohio territory. However, the management was very poor and made it very difficult to sell products competitively in my assigned market. The hardest part of the job was just that; getting pricing deviations approved, having proper inventory on hand, etc. On the other hand, the most enjoyable part of the job was calling on my customers and meeting new people on a daily business. Also, the excitement of making a sale with as much profit as possible.
Pros
Meeting new people
Cons
Terrible upper management and lack of any training

Not what you know but who you know. Very clicky. Poor management. Lose your job at the drop of a hat. Over half of the long time employees have left because they are so out of control

Product Manager (Former Employee) –  Deerfield Beach, FLMarch 11, 2013
Had all necessary requirements to be successful, in a very competitive market. Underlying value was relationship-building. Market slow-down, and new to South Florida, were limiting issues.

Confidential (Former Employee) –  Akron, OHDecember 14, 2012
Great place to work but if you are not a "yes man" then you won't last. Management is not very open to new ideas. They are not open to employees educating them on what certain jobs take to get done. Majority of managers and salespeople are unclear of some processes because they spend all their time at meetings and seminars and not very in tune to what is going on in the departments that they are supposed to be looking after. They don't care what it takes to get the job done but they will whine and cry that their stuff is more important than everyone elses. It is either their way or no way. 10-hour straight work days and no lunch breaks. Everything is always an emergency, or so we were always told.
Pros
benefits, pay, friendly co-workers
Cons
management problems, no lunch breaks, too many "yes men."
