Multitask-er, by completing daily paperwork while interacting with students through the curriculum
Latchkey Site-Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Imperial, MONovember 30, 2013
Each morning I start bright and early, arriving at 5:30 am. I prepare the classroom for the morning attendees. The Latchkey assistants arrive at 5:45 and we decide upon the morning activities. As the students begin to arrive at 6, I begin the daily roster. I then interact with the students and parents as they each arrive. By 7:30 I escort the bus riders to the pickup location. At 7:45 we begin to clean up the classroom. The remaining student are then walked to breakfast. By 8:00 the school aged students are released to their classroom. The Preschool students are kept for an additional forty minutes. Then they are walked to the appropriate classrooms. The latchkey assistants are then free to go. I remain for an additional hour or so to communicate with the director or school principle to make any necessary improvements. Once I have finished all the paperwork and answered any phone calls or emails. I tally the morning attendance and go. I then arrive back at work at 2:00 pm. I recreate the activity board that allows the students to know what is planned for the evening. The Preschoolers are picked up by 2:15. The latchkey assistants then arrive around 2:30. We decide upon the evening snack and organize the classroom centers. I check the emails and answering machine and make as phone calls needed. By 3:15 the assistants pick up the school ages students at each class door. By 3:25 the students are happily engaged in their centers.I ensure that all the students are in proper attendance. While I monitor the centers the assistants begin to organize the evening snack that had already  more... decided. The bus riders arrive at 4:00. After snack is finished. We begin the daily activities. The activities vary from, Fitness Friday, Mad Scientist day, Seasonal Crafts, and Theater Nights! As the parents/guardians arrive the student, I begin to complete the attendance roster by tallying the attendance and completing the records. Once the last student is picked up, we clean the classroom and prepare for the next day. The day is done around 6:15 pm  less
