Company closed and laid off employees with no warning. The pay was good while it lasted. Management treated employees like peasants.

Fun but unorganized and fast paced
Default Service Complaint Resolution (Former Employee) –  Frisco, TXMarch 31, 2014
This company expected way too much without proper training. This company hired anyone and everyone just to get numbers in seats, but they did not train adequately. The rules and policies were not consistent. At this company, the only thing consistent was change. This company was known for hiring you as "permanent" and then doing a mass layoff/furlough without notice. This company often moves people around to different departments. They always say you don't have to move departments or locations, but that it is "strongly suggested". On the good side, this company offers great starting pay and benefits, and when you do lose your job you are offered a severance package.
Pros
Decent pay, benefits
Cons
Likely to lose job within a year, bad training, no consistency

Process Support Specialist responsible for evaluating modifications documents before sending them to underwriting.
Loan Modification Specialist (Current Employee) –  Dallas, TXJuly 16, 2013
A typical day includes reviewing documents sent in by borrowers that are requesting loan modifications for their home mortgage. I have increased knowledge on loan processing by preparing these packages for the underwriter. Management is new and are learning the company's processes as well. The hardest part of the job is having to decline a loan but the most enjoyable part is being able to assist a borrower with keeping their home from foreclosure.
Pros
Paid weekly
Cons
healthcare benefits

no structure
Team Lead Modification Processor (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TXMay 7, 2014
The company has no structure for the employees, it doesn't teach them how to grow. If you have a client that comes and train you one way, then this company will change it and teach you another just to get numbers in. They dont show any recogition to their employees for the hard work they give. nothing is consistant when it comes to managing a team under the same unit. The Unit managers and directors wont even help associate grow and teach them when they are willing to learn more. If you just want a job 8-5 then this is the place, if you want a job that will appreciate your work and help you grow I wouldnt recommend this job.

Offered me an opportunity to get over 2 years of Mortgage Experience.
Production Team Manager (Former Employee) –  Frisco, TXMarch 18, 2014
Great people to work with.
I learned a lot about mortgages, mortgages rates, short sales, forclosures, Deed in lieu, first liens, second liens, loan modifications, etc.
Inspite of the communication restrictons based on the fact that the company is/was a contractor, most of the managment was good.

The hardest part of the Job was not knowing when the contract would end.
The most enjoyable part of work was saving peoples homes and keeping them off the streets.
Pros
Office Olympics, Caffeteria and Gym provided.
Cons
Did not match 401k, instability of employment as the company is/was a contractor.

Client/Customer Oriented
Quality Auditor (Former Employee) –  TXApril 28, 2014
An aspiring company that is very client and customer focused. Employees have the opportunity of broadening their knowledge and improving their skills since the company deals with many aspects of the mortgage industry…there is a lot to learn and training is always available. The layoffs are unpredictable; however, high performance, attendance and good discipline will take you a far way. A good company to work with….
Pros
401k/Health benefit/Advancement opportunity

HR does not respond to employees
consultant (Former Employee) –  melbourne FlJuly 8, 2015
notice of layoff was received 10 days prior to actual close date, our 401ks are frozen, we have not been paid our accrued PTO. No one has received unemployment benefits yet as HR has not approved our wages.

Hardest part of job was that upper management in Texas was not behind us.

Most enjoyable part was the co-workers bond that were made thru it all

Quality Specialist II (Former Employee) –  Melbourne, FLDecember 18, 2014
This company bought the building and servicing rights for the loans from JP Morgan and the completely changed the culture. Mandatory overtime with no notice. Company made huge promises and constantly failed to deliver on them. The company is now going downhill fast, they have laid off almost 300 employees from the servicing center in the last 6 months

Mortgage Advisor/ Private Mortgage Contractor (Former Employee) –  Monroe, LAMay 15, 2014
Management is disorganized, benefits are disorganized, the higher ups are clueless. They are the worst company you could possible waste your time with.
Pros
None
Cons
Will take money from your paycheck without telling you, will enroll you in insurance programs you didn't ask for, will double ensure you therefore double charge you for the exact same coverage, they do not have an understanding of their own policies

I love working at WPA (Wingspan Portfolio Advisors) but there is to much uncertainty in the work environment here. Many are furloughed and then brought back. I have almost 20 years of mortgage banking experience in management including collections, QA, processing, underwriting and call centers.

Growing Pains
Player Coach (Current Employee) –  Carrollton, TXJanuary 30, 2013
Company is young and managed from a top-down approach without realizing the negative impacts. Your salary will remain the same unless you take a new position, even then it will most likely not change. No pay-for-performance options. Health benefits are decent. Call-center quality employees mainly.
Pros
having employement
Cons
demands, stress, inability to provide positive outcomes for clients
