Here is the real truth about the company. I know because I have worked for the company for almost 4 years and have worked at 8 different locations. If you get hired as a district manager, it is probably the laziest and best paying job ever. You even get a company gas card, laptop, and cell phone; and you get to play favorites on who you get to promote.
If your get haired as a Kiosk manager, its not too shabby, you get to make the schedule, (corporate says you have to work at least 40 hours a week) but I know many kiosk managers who didn't even work 20 hours, you also can come in just about whenever you want. ( I know a kiosk manager who will never show up before 1pm even tho he puts on the schedule that is is supposed to be in at 11; because it shows corporate he is "working") Kiosk managers also get monthly bonuses and yearly bonuses. The only bad thing is that you have to listen to the district manager complain during bad weeks or months.
If you get hired at the bottom of the barrel, as a "wireless expert" you get paid the states min wage. +$20 per post-activation or $5 for an upgrade phone or prepaid phone. If you are lucky to be in a really good store Like in the top 30 stores in the country (of about 400 stores) you might hit a bonus. of 200 and maybe more. The atmosphere is lax, the kiosk is usually ran by uneducated kids, expect to be verbally harassed by the manager, district manager, and customers and sometimes by costco management. Benefits, (after 6 mo) well if you go to a preferred provider, you still have to pay 20% of the bill. Did you ask for a raise? well you will never get one, (im being serious, company policy) I was promised one personal day a month (i never got one in the almost 4 years I worked for the company) Sick time, you better bring a doctors note or expect to be written up and it is unpaid. Promotion? you have to be the district managers right hand man or you will never get one. To be continued....

So, I have been researching this company since I got a phone call a couple weeks ago. I had two phone interviews, and just had an in person interview this morning.
A little background: I am a current kiosk manager for a different phone company. I make about $36-40000 a year. Now, this place I interviewed for would require me to travel 60 miles a day for it. Now, I factored in my mileage, and that would be about $2500/year in gas just to that store.
Now honestly, from the KM's out there, how much difference would there really be? It seems that the goals at this store are reasonable, but you never know when they are going to change them.
Also, after reading all these comments, I'm a tad concerned.
Thanks!

I wanted to know something. If you quit or get terminated do you get some sort of vacational pay that was owed to you? I recently got canned for not selling enough and I got my last check and then additionally I got another check that said final check owed vac. pay. This check seemed diffeent then a normal check because it has my social security on it. It also says it is from Seattle Corporate Streling savings bank. Can someone tell me if this is a mistake? I had worked there since January 1st to July 31st.
