Small Team, Big Hearts
Web Developer, Bursts Team (Former Employee) –  Brooklyn, NYApril 11, 2016
Awesome place to work. Small business with a mom-n-pop feeling. Personalized touch with a lot of freedom. It was always a pleasure to help clients find their dream home through the website, phone or in person but it starts from the website.
Pros
Personalities aimed to help grow. Wanted the best for you.
Cons
Area of location didn't have many lunch spots, bag it in.

Soul-crushing environment with no upside
Marketing (Former Employee) –  Brooklyn, NYApril 26, 2013
During the interviews, I was sold on what sounded like a fantastic opportunity; however, the job did not exist. Their internal training is awful. Upper management is elitist and not in touch with the inner workings of the company. Middle management is non-existent, and those that are there are powerless to act. This company has a "do as I say or else" culture that leads to countless redundancies and an environment in which they're constantly hiring and firing because no one can seem to stay for longer than a few months. They are very intolerant of new ideas. Avoid this company at all costs.

It is a startup culture. A lot of smart people. Most importantly, the work is meaningful. Everyone is passionate about social good and improving the education system in America.
Pros
meaningful work, agile, strong engineering community, growing company, view of the manhattan bridge from the rooftop
Cons
not very organized and the process to get things done is crazy

Pays nice but no job security
Implementation Specialist (Former Employee) –  Alpharetta, GAMarch 5, 2013
Job is temporary most of the time, but the pay is nice.
The work load can be hectic but it makes time go by fast, very nice atmosphere and friendly people.
