About Wisconsin Community Services

For more than ninety years, WCS has served the greater Milwaukee community and is now serving clients and systems in Waukesha, Sheboygan, and all of southeastern Wisconsin. The agency is one of the largest non-profits in the country serving this target population. It is mainly a contract agency, fulfilling contracts with various counties, State of Wisconsin, – more... and the Federal government. Fund raising opportunities are listed in another part of the site. United Way of Greater Milwaukee has been a supporter since 1941. The agency is governed by a non-paid volunteer Board of Directors, representative of the population that we serve.

She will oversee the $18 million organization with 250 employees and over 40 programs throughout southeastern Wisconsin, serving more than 20,000 people annually.

After being chosen as the new Executive Director of WCS, Ms. Patzer exclaimed, "I look forward to the opportunity for us to showcase WCS as the premiere agency for community alternatives and justice solutions in Wisconsin. We have a rich history, dedicated staff, outstanding administration, a strong financial base and a sound infrastructure with significant and vital programs. My plan is to take Wisconsin Community Services to the next level with advocacy and programming that help reduce violence in our communities and with innovative services that help our clients overcome adversity ."

Ms. Patzer began her new role in the agency in March, prior to the retirement of Stephen B. Swigart, WCS' past Executive Director of nine years. e retired on March 31 after 33 years with the agency. – lessMore from ZoomInfo »
