Pros: good environment, lots of experienced pros to learn from
I started as an intern assistant to the property manager of a high rise residential building. My duties were basic adminstrative and office, leasing, renewals, tracking vacancy, market shop competative properties.
When I started as a paid employee in Milwaukee, I had the same basic admin. duties and a lot more leasing/new business development.
The portfolio – more... consisted of more single family to four family buildings.
I learned how to perform the basic duties of a property manager including some Yardi experience, and some payroll.
I really enjoyed the people that I worked with, they were very supportive and offered me a great start in the property managment profession.
I had to commute from Milwuakee to Madison, that was really the only downside. – less
