Wisteria, a growing and dynamic company that exists to make the world a better place by selling products of beauty and meaning such as antiques and decorative items for the home and garden, is searching for an energetic, professional, and dedicated person to become Assistant Manager.

The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, be a master of product, directing store staff and have a strong sales personality.

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Wisteria Store, including training and scheduling the sales staff, product management and communicating effectively with all departments.

We are looking for an individual with 3+ years of retail management experience who exemplifies the Wisteria brand.

This is full time position that does include working more than 40 hours a week.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 Effectively managing, directing and training the store staff.
 Embodying and teaching excellent customer service skills.
 Meeting financial goals of the retail store.
 Achieving revenue and margin goals.
 Maintaining accurate inventory.
 Ensuring the Wisteria brand is portrayed throughout the store.
 Developing strong communication links between departments.
 Daily financial paperwork and expediting the “end of day” reconciliation.
 All opening and closing duties
 Weekly schedule
 Handling complex customer service issues
 Compiling payroll information for accounting department

Critical skills include:

  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to details.

 Ability to multi-task.
 Experienced user of all Microsoft applications such as Excel and Word.
 Strategic and independent thinking, planning, and follow-through skills.
 Self-motivated and decisive.
 Detail oriented with creative problem solving skills.
 Ability to execute under accelerated timeframes.
 Ability to quickly adapt to change in priorities.
 Strong design and display skills
 Ability to motivate and teach sales to the staff.
 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
