i go get my truck do all prepping for the day, my worker comes with me and i have my regular route that i followed. if i finished early i had the choice to help out with more or go home, i usually would help if asked . i sometimes did the recycle truck which i was solo on this truck. The hardest part of this job was the equipment that you had to work with was not maintained to my satisfaction and was always breaking down along the roadside and you would have to wait till someone come out and fix it, which made you behind in your work not to mention it also was very unsafe. the back of the garbage truck is operated by electronic controls inside the truck and it would work on and off which was very dangerous to where you could get hurt because you did not know when the doors would work or shut on you. the hardest part of the job was when the equipment broke they still expected you to maintain your job speed. the most enjoyable part of the job was i went to work early in the morning, and when i finished my it usually was around noon so i still had a greater part of my day left, i was off on weekends but had to work holidays which was fine. i made tips which helped but i also made over 1200 net weekly. had great benefits and bonus every quarter.
