About Worldwide Flight Services
Also known as Worldwide Flight Services, WFS Global wants to help your airline help you get on and off the plane. One of the biggest ground handling companies in the world, the company provides cargo services (aircraft loading and unloading), passenger services (check-in and ticketing, security screening), ramp services (aircraft fueling, cabin cleaning), – more... and technical services (equipment maintenances). WFS contracts with about 300 passenger and cargo airlines at more than 100 airports, mainly in North America and Europe but also in the Asia/Pacific region. The company is owned by private equity firm LBO France.
LBO France bought WFS from French construction giant VINCI in 2006. Since being acquired, WFS has moved to expand its operations in Asian markets such as Hong Kong and Bangkok, as well as in the UK. – less
