Intense work requirments
Independent Insurance Claims Adjuster (Current Employee) –  Hammond, LASeptember 7, 2015
It can be an intense place to work. Work consists of 60+ hour weeks for months at a time. Management is the best part of this company. The managers are always knowledgeable and most will come up to bat for you, if you've proven yourself. One of the major down sides is a lack of benefits and a recent lowering of pay.

Worley is a great company run by excellent managers. The nature of the business is unpredictable which makes it difficult to plan for the future.
Catastrophe Insurance Adjuster (Current Employee) –  Hammond, LAMay 10, 2012
I typically start the day meeting with contractors and policy holders to assess damage and make payment on hail and wind claims. Once inspections are done I must document all activities to system, complete paperwork, receive new claims, and spend the rest of the evening contacting policyholders to schedule more inspections. The hardest part of the job is saying no to someone who thinks they have storm damage and it is not covered by the policy. The most enjoyable part of the job is the sense of accomplishment you feel when you are faced with a very difficult assignment and you get it right the first time.
Pros
excellent pay, great interaction with true professionals.
Cons
too much time away from home, very little job security, no benefits.

Great management in a highly professional environment. I learned that customer service is the key to conducting a good business. The most enjoyable part of the job was getting to travel and meet people as well as working with a professional work staff.

Catastrophic Insurance Adjuster (Current Employee) –  Hammond, LAOctober 23, 2013
Worley has a great training program and corporate structure. Employees are constantly afforded opportunities to further their training and deployment opportunities. The most difficult aspect of this field is having the patience and funding to wait for storms to hit.
