About Wounded Warrior Project
Wounded Warrior Project is committed to expanding and promoting the field of veterans' advocacy. The WWP professional staff and board of directors have literally hundreds of years of combined experience in this noble and rewarding profession. With many of our Vietnam veterans reaching retirement age, it is critical that we help to ensure that men and – more... women with the compassion, integrity and tenacity join our ranks. In the last issue of the AAR, I announced that WWP would work with other organizations to hire and train 100 new veteran advocates in the next five years. I'm happy to announce that WWP has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) to train and accredit WWP's service professionals. I'm proud that the organization of combat veterans would recognize the outstanding work of the WWP service staff and form an alliance to provide world class service to our wounded warriors and their families.
As our service initiative moves forward, we will be looking for wounded warriors who are interested in careers as veterans' advocates. Serving as an advocate puts you in a position to really make a difference in the lives of your fellow wounded warriors. – less – More from ZoomInfo »
