XO pays well below the Telecom industry standards. If an applicant has no prior telecom experience this is would a decent start. Once hired you find that many other telecom companies throughout Colorado pay an average of $10K per various positions. These position will reappear every 4-8 months once employees find out the wage is not up to par.
Carl Icahn, chairman of the board of XO and owns more than 60 percent of the company, is has been trying to sell his company for some time now. The problem is that the billionaire isasking far too much for the struggling CLEC. XO said it will use most of the $700 million it gets from Icahn to pay back its debts and buy back its preferred stock. Debt and stock owned by . . . Carl Icahn. Wall Street clearly isn't sold on the Icahn sale. XO stock started skidding on the day the deal was announced and has dropped every day since -- down six days in a row from $2.55 a share to $1.95, a loss of more than 23 percent. XO is said to be cquired in 2008 by Level Communications, who has a tradition of making acquisitions, having acquired more than 20 companies or business units between 1998 and the present...you might as well look to Level 3 for employment rather than here.
