Pros: normal business work days and hours, no weekends (at least for now), very good products, and ok pay, and benefits
Cons: work place bullies in the corp office and going down to the regional office, no respect for anyone, you have to clean all the bathrooms and offices, micromanaged beyond reason, and little to no advancement.
A typical day starts at 7:00 am till 6:00 pm Mon - Friday. You will be doing inbound and outbound trailer inspections, managing the collections on delinquent customers, managing the insurance for both customers and vendors, and making and auditing work orders on trailers as well. If you are in sales, you will be doing inside and outside sales. I learned – more... all of the above, but more especially to just what level of total incompetence and little respect regional and senior managers have for their employees and the company in general. Co-workers are great, and you will need to make alliances with them as soon as possible. They are your only hope for success. The hardest part is dealing with the jerks from St. Louis and sometimes at the regional office. The most enjoyable part of my job was helping the customers and feeling apart of a great industry. Its also nice the few times management stays off your back. – less
