A typical day consist of endless meetings that carry on 3 times longer than necessary due to continual repeating of the same thing by the CEO. The CEO of the company is an extreme micro manager that is disconnected from reality and no management skills. There is a lot of family drama, for example hiring of the CEOs husband's ex-wife to be the studio manager and then trying to hide it from employees by making her use her maiden name. Once an employee found out they were threatened with being fired if they told anyone and made to sign a non disclosure.
Your job task, especially in a management position, change by the thoughts that run through the CEOs head. There are major "goals" added to you almost daily without a realistic plan to get them accomplished. They love to wait to the last minute to get things done, and then everything is an emergency. The CEO makes decisions and when they don't workout (like you told her it would not) she does not take responsibility and blames everyone else. Your department goals changes from day to day pending on the conservation she previously had with someone, for example, her make up girl.
Don't expect to have a personal life because once hired she thinks she owns you and you can expect late night calls and text messages (12 to 2am) and endless weekend calls, along with meeting scheduled at 7 to 9 pm at night with little to no notice. Many of the workers are not qualified for the positions they hold and there are to many women working there creating a lot of situations of non communication and drama between departments along with many people being promoted to positions they are not qualified to take on.
