Workers there in 15 to 20 year range, don't want any new employees. Yancey used to work 3 full shifts, Now down to one shift, so they feel threaten by new employees. They basically make all new people outcast. Some new guys only last a day or two. I lasted 8 months. The place is a revolving door. They are always hiring, and working very hard to get people. There is a severe shortage of good mechanics in this area, and Yancey has probably been through them all. Top of the line benefits. good pay, pretty much as many hours as your want.. My first day on the job. I was introduced to my supervisor. Then he took me to the shop where I would be working.
We walk in and 1 of the guys says Don't bring him in here, I'm serious, if you leave him in here, its going to be real awkward for him. Supervisor didn't say a word to him. and left me in the shop. The 3 guys working in the shop walk out right behind him, not to be seen the rest of the day. So I just stood in there untill it was time to go home..
