IT Manager will play a lead role within the IT Team in Client to optimize the use of systems and improve efficiency of its operation. The candidate should have strong business and technical background and a proven track-record in delivering complex business systems projects.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the various functions and aspects of an Investment Management System including System Administration and Configuration. They will need to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of investment processes and workflows; have a solid understanding of investment instruments, and the types of tools used to support the investment and business operations functions.
The role will also require development responsibilities, and thus the candidate should be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the Microsoft development platform, Database Structures and Dependencies, Report and Interface Development.
Work as part of a team and assume lead role to deliver dedicated business support and future business initiatives within the company and acting as a primary interface back to London.

Gathering business reporting requirements, documenting design and developing reporting solutions
Create and evaluate system solution proposals
Provide business knowledge and analytical skills to project teams in support of the system implementation or change
Perform and schedule business testing of applications as part of the development lifecycle
Liaise with business and IT support teams to help identify and resolve workflow and application issues
Anticipates the needs of the business responding flexibly as issues arise

Business knowledge and experience:
5 Years (minimum) experience working on system implementation supporting Investment Management functional teams
5 years (minimum) programming experience in .NET, C#, XML/XLST
Understanding of business analysis processes and methods
Translation of verbal and written business requirements into application functional requirements
Good business acumen with an appreciation of a variety of instruments.
Knowledge of the workings of an Investment Management house
Awareness of the complexities surrounding the provision of data
Ability to provide tactical and strategic solutions
Technical knowledge and experience:
Experience of full project lifecycle including application configuration, regression testing and implementation.
Experience with front and back office systems and the interactions between them (ideally thinkfolio and Simcorp Dimension)
Microsoft Server Technologies (SSIS, Sharepoint)
Object Oriented programming (.NET,C#, XML/XLST)
Reporting technologies: Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting Services, Actuate eSpreadsheet etc.
Management knowledge and experience. Proven ability to:
