Very Time consuming
Regrind Tech/Fascia Paint Line (Former Employee), Smyrna, TNMarch 24, 2014
Pros: money benefits
Cons: time consuming, no freedoms to achieve goals
The Work is awesome and the pay is great, but the overtime leaves you no life. Its great to make money but whats the point if you never have time to spend it. There is also no room for creative problem solving. What i mean by that is there is an SOP for everything, even if you find a way that is more comfortable for you to achieve the same result even – more... in a faster time it must be submitted and approved other wise if you are caught doing it before the change you are subject to disciplinary action. – less

Work at Yates was like any typical production plant. I learned the ins and outs of production and what it takes to succeed as such. It was enjoyable because of the people around you.

Material Handling Supervisor (Current Employee), Smyrna, TNOctober 24, 2013
Pros: the experience of working with new challenges every day.
Cons: not enough time to properly train our people.
The time I have been here with the yates company I have had a chance to grow and become more versatile in a production environment. I am currently a material handling supervisor who is looking to grow even more with knowledge and wisdom to better help the future technicians here within the company. I look forward to an everyday challenge in helping – more... better the people around me so they too will have an opportunity to experience a management posistion at one point or time throughout there career here with Nissan/Yates. – less

Retro PQA Driver/Technician (Former Employee), Smyrna, TNMay 27, 2013
Pros: pay
Cons: temperatures, lack of provided cold weather gear.
Working 7:30 until production was made, makes it hard to have a life outside of work. Working long hours mixed in with sweltering heat (100 degrees plus) and no ventilation made days miserable.

Fast Paced, Very Physical Job
Material Handler (Current Employee), Smyrna, TNApril 14, 2013
A typical work day's staying busy from beginning, to end. I've learned that I can keep up in a fast paced workplace. Management does, a good job. My co-workers, are great. The hardest part of job is the physical aspect. The most enjoyable part of job's picking and delivering parts to cars on assembly line.

unloading trucks, pulling parts for Nissan car and truck line. I learned time management. The hardest part of my job was dealing with the Nissan employees that thought they were above us because we worked for Yates.
