Great job with great incentives!
Account Executive (Former Employee), New London, Ct/ Atlanta, GA –
Pros: awesome management and incentives!
Cons: had to make a change for family
Advertising campaigns for yellow pages and media, cold calling, prospecting, great management support. Always had an incentive set by management to make more money, and win those incentives I did! Sold yellow page ads to every type of business and met every quota for every campaign. Co-workers were also great because the competition was always fun! – more...  Hardest part of this job was just the area . – less

Room for Improvement
Associate Manager (Former Employee), King of Prussia, PA –
Pros: good benefits package, peer recognition
Cons: lack of managerial direction, lack of advancement opportunities
Yellowbook is a storied organization with years of great history and financial accomplishments. Everyone is familiar with the yellow fingers or the thick, colorful directory dropped on your doorstep as children. Through many technological advancements in society, yellowbook has remained relevant. Unfortunately, the corporate environment of Yellowbook – more...  has not changed.

While employed at Yellowbook, it was made very obvious that advancement was based on favoritism rather than aptitude. This was evident in senior management being overlooked for opportunities to capable staff being let go due to perceived "attitudes".

The organization did recognize its employees, but the recognition did not include monetary compensation.Information was not always divulged from the top down, so employees were often blind-sided by changes to processes within the hour. – less

A stepping stone company, very dog eat dog environment. Huge turn over, no one was very happy. I did meet some very nice people and I learned a lot.

Data Entry, Paginator / Designer, Graphic Artist (Former Employee), Rockville, NY –
Yellow Book was a great learning experience for me. There was room for advancement. I started as a Temp Data Entry Clerk and work my way up a Graphic Artist.
