Summary

Reporting to the Regional Director (Western US), the Associate will be responsible for managing key sales accounts within the designated territory, including: the support of inbound customer inquiries and the maintenance of existing customer relationships. In addition the account manager will be required to pursue new sales targets and convert “warm” leads into new accounts. As a member of the business development team, the Associate may, at times, be expected to support the sales process including, but not limited to: the creation of commercial sales material (e.g. proposals, brochures, sales deck, etc), market analysis, market research and communication regularly with US management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop channel partners and direct-sale key accounts in the commercial and residential market segments to meet and exceed individual sales target and support the realization of market share goals
  • Effectively communicate Yingli’s value proposition and provide timely responses to customer inquiries
  • Lead channel development and communications including distributor and integrator relations, field and channel communications, training and education, and channel support activities; participate in customer training, support and education activities
  • Create customer-specific sales reports to drive channel sales
  • Provide feedback relating to the “voice of the customer” to YGEA management on a regular basis
  • Perform market research and communicate trends, analyses and recommendations to YGEA management
  • Assist in the creation of commercial sales materials (e.g. customer proposals, sales presentations, marketing brochures, etc…)
  • Perform initial financial due diligence analyses on commercial customers for potential credit extension
  • Represent business development at US SOCCER and GRID Alternatives events
  • Support YGEA management in ad hoc tasks and initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required
  • Solar industry experience is preferred
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • A self-starting orientation with the drive to “make things happen” and good at multitasking
  • Work well independently and across multiple disciplines
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn web-based ERP/CRM system

The position requires 50% travel within the California area
