STUDENT LIAISON, Chicago, IL - May 18, 2016
A typical work day would include working with students who have emotional or learning disabilities. As well as helping them find employment while being a full time student. I learned how to administer the food handlers test, I utilized the Illinois government system IDES (Illinois Department of Employment Security) to analyze TANF/SNAP data for YCCS, to see which students are receiving food stamps. My coworkers are really great and amazing people. The hardest part of the day is usually when you have to finish up work before the end of the day is over. The most enjoyable part of the day is interacting with the students. Especially the ones who actually take the time and listen to what I have to say.
