We work as a very small team, so I was able to get to know and work with a lot of the staff and learn from them. I gained a lot of valuable experience.

Difficult
employee (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILJune 12, 2015
The roles and responsibilities extend beyond individual positions resulting in employees covering 2 -3 positions. This makes getting and giving support difficult. Due to state budgetary issues it is difficult to compensate employee performance. Advancement and professional development are limited. The people that work with the clients are dedicated to their work.

Treatment Counselor (Current Employee) –  Cicero, ILJuly 29, 2014
Youth Outreach Services is a great place to get some experience and exposure to the counseling world. The hardest part of this job is trying to maintain the clientele to continue coming for their services. The most enjoyable part of this is working with most of the staff, they make it very pleasant and worth the effort.
Pros
Decent schedules.
Cons
Benefits are not that great, pay could be better
