Not a stepping stone. No value . Your a number on the floor who can be replaced.
If you want to make a difference find somewhere else......your opinion and knowledge does not matter.

This company has door to door and ramp to ramp service both domestic and export service available. The software program used was very challenging and unique.

Maybe this company can teach you the basic's about freight forwarding. But you will want to move on quickly_UNLESS_ you can bear the extreme-yes-extreme micromanaging. Many left within short periods of time. Worked here until I found something better.
Cons
hundreds of emails a day.

Yard hostler (Former Employee) –  Carson, CAMay 4, 2016
Very poor management, lots of favortism. The yard lead is not professional talks down on people, he needs to retire. Supervisors there dont keep up with promises. They ask for high number of container moves but no job security. Very low pay.

No comment. It's just not worth it. Since you require a minimum word count. I didn't learn anything from my manager. My co-workers, minus one were great.

Would you get on the Titanic knowing what you know about its fateful voyage? Would you run to the top of the twin towers on 9/11? If you surely want to be part of a failing company, then apply here. Otherwise, go elsewhere. Save your own neck before they can chop it off.
Pros
A paycheck
Cons
Leadership, longevity, morale

Billing Specialist (Former Employee) –  Cordova, TNMay 26, 2015
Lots of entry of the same things in excel spreadsheets & in different databases. You have to beg for what you need at month end so you can complete your job. Train with multi staff & everyone adds or takes away something somewhere. Then talked down to & whispered about when you mess up.
Pros
Allowed to eat at desk
Cons
Mgmt talks down to employees & also in front of others. Favoritism

yard driver (Former Employee) –  sumner, waDecember 15, 2014
Very poor upper management, they make all kinds of promises and dont follow through. New GM is and absolute joke. Talks great about you to your face but then tells the next person how horrible you are. You can not trust the GM. This is a company with very poor integrity. If your not one of the favorites dont expect to go anywhere. The turn over since the new GM took over speaks volumes.

AP (Former Employee) –  Cordova, TNJune 28, 2014
Management? There is none. More like MISmanagement. Mismanagement of time, energy and brain cells. In order to have proper management one has to have a chain of command. No chain of command here more like power struggle. Company has and always have had poor employee relations. Unfortunately I did not find this out until after I was there. If you choose to work here learn what you can and use as a stepping stone.
Pros
learned a new accounting system
Cons
no direction. poor management. no future

Logistics Operations Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Jacksonville, FLOctober 21, 2013
Great place but with very complacent people. Seems like just about everyone goes through the motions. Management and the few superstars really keep that place going! Overall, it's a good place to be.

Freight Coordinator/Customer Satisfaction (Former Employee) –  Jacksonville, FLSeptember 24, 2013
Good hearted employees make for enjoyable work environment majority of time. However, mediocre compensation and and lack of career advancement opportunities within the company make for a difficult long-term work atmosphere for one striving to move up the corporate ladder.

Operations Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Secaucus, NJJuly 24, 2013
-Typical day of work involves answering emails from vendors, customers and Origin offices.
- I have learned vendor and cargo management through the different accounts assigned to me.
-My co-workers have been helpful and friendly.
-Hardest part of the job is making sure the cargo gets to its destination without any delays. Making sure there are no set backs with late documentation , shortages, issues at port, etc.
-Most enjoyable part of the job is the people I work with on a day to day basis.
Pros
Great Benefits
