It gives you a good introduction to be with kids and learn what rights and wrongs you and them are doing. It also gives you an oppurtunity to establish leadership skills

Intern (Current Employee) –  High Point, NCNovember 17, 2016
A typical day at the YWCA entails me discussing a social justice issue that I deemed necessary to talk about with the kids. I also open up the floor so that they can tell me if there is anything they would like to discuss. We tie art into the program through a diverse range of ways.
Pros
Free snacks for kids and a creative safe space
