Road Warrior/Self-starter/Energetic/Closer Wanted!
ZZZ Chair is a new sleeper chair manufacturer catering to the Healthcare industry. The factory is located outside of Waco, TX, but this position will work out of the sales office in Euless, TX. We are looking for a highly motivated, hard working, self-starter with the ability to develop a territory. Our product is revolutionary---there is nothing out there like it. We need a sales leader with exceptional inter-personal skills to get the ZZZ Chair in front of the correct decision makers (department heads, Director of Nursing, buyers, architects, designers, CNO’s, etc). As an Outside Sales Representative, maximizing time and travel is essential to establish relationships and ultimately sell product. This position will be growing with the company. An opportunity for upward mobility will exist in the future for a proven successful sales representative. We are looking for a long-term team member that believes in our product as much as we do! -Find prospective customers (hospitals seeking new sleep chairs, hospital department renovations, complete hospital renovations, new hospital building projects, etc.) by cold calling, using a project lead database, website leads, networking, internet searching, trade shows, industry literature, etc.
-Must be able to analyze projects and follow the flow in order to find the key influencers and decision makers. These may be people within the hospital, or their GPO, or a healthcare focused A&D firm. Any established contacts in these areas are a major plus! Understanding of GPO’s and experience getting on GPO vendor lists is also a plus.
-Keep track of prospective and current customers, and projects, by use of computer database, requiring continuous data entry. Must build, grow, and maintain database.
-Telephone and email prospects, mail literature and fabric samples.
-Set up appointments or cold call (travel) to demonstrate the ZZZ Chair in person, and leave chair as a sample to test. Follow up on results and pick-up chair if needed.
-Map out appointments and plan routes in order to maximize time
-Communicate and collaborate with co-workers, upper management, and other departments to ultimately achieve sales, improve product, etc.
-Prepare and deliver quotes
-Follow-up on project status, quotes, current customers, sample testing, etc.
-Performs other duties as assigned
-Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent level of experience
-Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
-2 years outside sales experience with a proven track record of meeting & often exceeding sales goals. A successful sales background in healthcare is a plus. Sales in seating, contract furniture or other equipment, is also a plus.
-Must have experience and confidence selling to all levels within an organization, especially key decision makers, management, and owners.
-Must be wanting and able to travel, including overnight stays when necessary, sometimes for extended periods
-Ability to present a professional image
-Must be organized, and possess a high level of written and verbal presentation skills
-Flexible, possess a sense of urgency, self-starter, results-oriented “closer”
-Must be able to qualify prospects, prioritize, listen, and problem solve
-Computer proficiency, especially Microsoft Office (MS Excel, Word). Knowledge of Bento and/or Apple computers is a plus.
-Must be a savvy internet navigator
-Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening (references, background check, drug screening, etc.)
-Stable work history
-Must be able to work out of sales office in Euless, TX.
-Physical demands include, but are not limited to, walking, sitting, standing, bending, and lifting. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
