stressful and hostel
Cook (Former Employee), Tallahassee, FL – April 20, 2013
Pros: half off on lunch, made great friends
Cons: no benifits, hostel work place
If you need a job its a place to get a paycheck. My co workers were great it was management that stressed everyone out. A lot of yelling and cursing out everyone. It was a very hostel enviornment. Notes posted around the kitchen and behind the counter on how she is the boss and we can quit if we don't like how she runs the place.I learned how to really – more... let things roll off my back. – less

horrible place to work
shift manager (Former Employee), gainesville, florida – April 9, 2013
Pros: free food for management
Cons: short breaks, working in filth, rude management
I worked for this company for four long years from the age of 16 to 20. The company could care less about their employees. General managers and above get very good pay plus bonuses. The rest get paid very little. I started out as a cashier making minimum wage, then I was a " hospitality coordinator" and then a shift manager making only 8.85. As a manager – more... your required to do ridiculous amounts of tasks that are unrealistic to finish in one shift. Most of the other managers I had to work with were completely lazy and I always had to make up for what they didn't do. All the employees look and act miserable all the time and I really can't blame them. It was a good learning experience working in management which helps my resume but other than that I would never work here. The worst is dealing with unhappy guests who are lying about how their order was made wrong just so they can get free food. Your trained to basically kiss the customers butts no matter what tho. Your constantly worried that if you make one small mistake you might be fired. There are so many double standards that I can't list them all but do yourself a favor and don't apply unless you want to be unhappy at your job everyday. – less

Fastfood
Cook (Former Employee), Albany, GA – March 28, 2013
Zaxbys is a fast food establishment. My typical day at work included preparing small to large amounts of food to serve through a drive thru. I learn to move at a fast pace during lunch rush hour. My co-workers loved me and loved working along side of me. The hardest part of my job was handling rude customers. I would be as nice as possible but you still – more... had people that were rude for no reason at all. – less

productive and fun work place
Cashier (Former Employee), Saluda, SC – March 20, 2013
Pros: discount on food
Cons: short breaks
A typical day for me was greeting customers taking and giving out orders and cleaning as well. I learned my job duties pretty quickly. Management was good and professional. The hardest part of the job was dealing with upset customers and the most enjoyable part of the job was working with a great group of co-workers and making sure the customers were – more... satisfied with their orders. – less
