Although a good place to work I find it is unorganized at time and as a customer I find it difficult to understand the signage for the sales.

- once you start work you are assigned a section in the store to clean and organize
-you most answer calls for this section and help out customers
- learned how to be a team player
- enjoyed working with other staff members

My coworkers are helpful and very fun to work with. Management is fair and helpful. I loved doing the month end paper work. The hardest part of the job was keeping equipment in working order.

The pace can get very busy and the atmosphere is always energized. During an average day, our frontline staff will speak to dozens of different people who need help or information. It's a challenge and there is a lot to learn, but our employees thrive on being able to take the next request, provide the right assistance and be the trusted.

A typical day at work would be dealing with the countless amount of customers, some rude while others were quite nice. Patience was a key asset at that workplace because as a cashier, you were constantly asked questions, and accused for incorrect prices. Greet customers, checkout their products and clean up cash area

open the store at 7:30 am and work until 5:00 p.m.
communicate information with the employee's at the 5 minute meeting every morning.hardest part of the job for me is to let and employee go because of lack of work or hours

i have been lucky to work at zellers at mississauga. this was my first job. co-worker are very friendly and helpful. i had lt a fun working, some day job can be hard but that life of retail.

i enjoyed working at zellers,,,;however; management sometimes made going into work unpleasant. The store manager pressured us to sell credit cards and when we didn't she would get angry......

loved it to go to i thought better job loved people there also

A typical day at Zellers for me would be going to work getting the cash registers ready for the day, assinging cashiers to there work areas, doing voids and refunds, and of course providing excellent customer service to our valued customers. I learned good customer service skills. I got along great with all my co-workers, they were all great to work – more...  with there. The hardest part of my job was learning the service desk and the rewards program that they offer. The management were great they would help you with any concerns you had. I love the group of waitresses and other cooks I work with I learned how to do the ordering,how to do inventory, and to deal with the public. We have our regulars that come in every day and always have a smile for me.The hardest part was when the hours got cut back and you had to work alone alot.

Stocking shelves, signing and ticketing merchandise. Settting up displays for weekely sales. Customer service, Cashier. Price changes, computer signing. Layouts, Planograms.

I was a supervisor for 6 years but stepped down. As the postions in the store had changed.

Working at Zellers has been great, I really enjoy being a part of a team.

A typical day at work involves Customer Service in half of the store including 6 departments in Fashion, signing for the weekly ad, merchandising, maps, cash, fitting rooms, supervising others, cleaning (folding clothes, picking up clothes)
I have learned how to maintain a department (kids clothing, luggage)

The hardest part of the job is not having enough employees to get the jobs done.
I love being able to move around and have a responsibility eg. making sure my stock gets out and my maps get done on time, and the weekly ad gets all done on Thursdays (best day of the week) – less

There is no future in Zellers due to Target taking over.
The manager tried his best to accommodate my needs.
All employees were proud to apart of the Zellers team.
The manager cared for the employees well being.
Everyone worked together as a team.
The most important this is knowing that I worked for a Canadian company.

It gave me an opportunity to broaden my work experience as I learnt a lot about retail while at this position

Although there were some amazing employees working there who I thoroughly enjoyed working beside, the overall staff made it hard to keep optimistic. Not only was I getting attitude from certain supervisors, but I was also getting staff who are at the same level in the store as I was.
