Each day is different for whatever part of the department you're in. Being in the garnishment/post judgment review department my days are very busy and can be stressful. If a debtor isn't calling in wanting to set up payments, they're calling because they're upset with me for the garnishments I send out. It has definitely taught me to have more patience for people. I've learned that a lot of the attitude is reflected on who you act, if you stay calm on the phone when they're screaming they'll calm down and be more willing to work with you. If you get mad or have an attitude problem, they'll get angry right back. Management can be a little tough to work with, sometimes it's like walking on eggshells, but if you keep your head down and get your work done you'll be fine. The coworkers that sit around you are the best part of the job. Most everyone is very nice and sociable, I think I've made some lifelong friends here.
