We are leftchannel…a dynamic motion design studio comprised of multidisciplinary graphic design artists specializing in motion graphics, advertising and broadcast graphics, animation and graphic design.

We're seeking an experienced B2B sales professional to be the Business Development Manager for our team. Are you a driven hunter with a demonstrable record in closing within the creative services, entertainment or production industries? If so, read on…

Responsibilities:

  • Aggressively prospect, identify and qualify new clients and project opportunities via numerous methods including cold calling, networking and leveraging social media
  • Secure new clients on an ongoing and consistent basis in concert with sales quotas and goals
  • Define and implement business development strategy with assistance from President and business and marketing teams.
  • Price and structure new engagements, with focus on deliverability and profitability
  • Direct weekly business development meeting and report on weekly business development activities
  • Conduct win/loss analyses of opportunities and suggest related process improvements
  • Focus on building strong client relationships by intrinsically understanding their business and how our services benefit them
  • Qualify prospects by asking open-ended questions and gathering necessary information from them to gauge fit and value to studio
  • Service, nurture and increase sales to existing customer base
  • Identify growth opportunities within related industries (ex. strategic partnerships and alliances, etc.)
  • Attend select trade shows / festivals / awards presentations and other industry events as a representative of the business

Must have:

  • 5-7 years sales experience with demonstrated abilities in meeting quotas and overall sales goals
  • Sales experience in creative services industry including broadcast networks or advertising agencies (video production/post-production is ideal)
  • Bachelor’s Degree; ideally in Business Administration / Marketing
  • Experience in using a CRM tool on routine basis
  • Superb sales and follow-up skills
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills
  • Tenacity and commitment to exceed sales goals
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Energy, enthusiasm, initiative and persistence
  • Professionalism, reliability and punctuality

Must be:

  • Able to build out a healthy/robust sales funnel and pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities
  • A proven closer
  • A clever, creative thinker who creates opportunity
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Driven, confident self starter
  • Focused and structured

Ideal:

  • Book of business in the video production industry
