Senior RF Test Engineer
Our client, the leader in cloud based networking and Controller-less WIFI solutions is seeking a Senior RF Test Engineer. The Senior RF Test Engineer will be directly involved in development of 802.11 based wireless indoor and outdoor AP’s, wireless broadband routers and 3G/4G LTE wireless products. The Senior RF Test Engineer will have broad responsibility for planning, executing and analyzing a variety of engineering tasks. They will work closely with ODM’s in the Far East and our client’s internal departments such as Program Management, HW & SW Engineering, QA Engineering, Product Marketing and Operations. Candidate will be responsible for generating and implementing Engineering Test and Automation plans, generate, and implement EVT/DVT/PVT test plans and work with Operations and the ODM to develop Manufacturing Test. The Senior RF Test Engineer will support product development through all NPI phases from concept through MP.
Networking industry experience with one of Wireless AP’s, Cell Phones or wireless routers is required
Experience in testing and measuring wireless communication products,
Direct experience in WiFi MIMO products preferred with good understanding of 802.11 standards
Experience with 3G/4G LTE wireless is a plus
Good understanding of general communication concepts: RF engineering, modulation and demodulation, MIMO, OFDM, SNR, EVM, wave propagation, antenna engineering, signal integrity, etc.
Solid knowledge in the architecture of wireless transceiver and understanding the key performance requirement of each stage
Experience using lab test equipment like Digital Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzer, VSA, signal generator, network analyzer, Litepoint tester, etc
Create test platforms and work with RF and SW engineers in system level performance evaluations, engineering and DVT testing
Interact with Test and Manufacturing Engineering resources at ODM’s in establishing test methodology and test capability
Practical skills in using Linux OS is a plus
Programming skills with C, C++, scripting languages and PC applications is required
Ability to write and modify scripts for automated testing
Experience in running open air wireless performance testing
Resourceful and be able to plan and establish a setup quickly tailoring for different test purpose.
Must be patient and meticulous and detail oriented.
Candidate must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, be a self-starter and a good team player.
BSEE/CSEE, MS preferred with at least 5 years relevant experience
