synAllergy has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to provide allergy services at a primary care practice with locations in Farmington and Fairmont, WV.


The role of the Allergy Services Assistant is to perform all synAllergy contracted allergy testing and treatment services for a medical practice. This opening is presently a PART-TIME opportunity but with the potential to develop into a full-time position.


Provide, per the physician’s and physician assistants’ orders, percutaneous allergy tests.
Communicate testing results to the practice’s health care providers.
Formulate customized allergy injections for each patient.
Prepare allergen extract provisions.
Administer subcutaneous allergy injections and regiments for patients prescribed for immunotherapy.
Answer patients’ general questions on allergy testing and immunotherapy.
Manage allergy testing and provisioning inventories.
Uphold the highest compliance and required documentation standards.
Retain sufficient and relevant medical knowledge and expertise.
Collaborate and build functional relationships with the practice’s health care team.


Minimum of 1 year experience working in a medical practice, preferable a family or pediatric practice, as a MA or LPN.
Effective communication, listening, collaborating, interpersonal relationship skills.
Possess a strong work-ethic with a willingness to take initiative and multi-task.
Experienced at maintaining accurate and detailed patient documentation and processes.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and to exercise sound judgment.
Basic competency with web-based applications; familiar with Word and Excel.
Ability to obtain BLS & ACLS certification (class provided by synAllergy, LLC).
No prior experience with allergy services are required, synAllergy provides comprehensive on-site training and support to ensure a high level of expertise.

The ideal candidate is an MA or LPN with previous allergy testing and immunotherapy experience.
