What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable? How does ACS stack up against the competition? |

ACS employee -- do yourself a favor in Raleigh, North Carolina 64 months ago |
ACS is a good company but as for the Raleigh/Cary locations they are not. The have great policies and procedures in place that are not followed. The leadership team make up their own rules and are unethical. This includes unethical comments about members of leadership and call center associates. Employees are promoted into positions without following the application process and not being interviewed. Quality employees are oftened overlooked because of the favoritism that is shown. Because of this -- there are numerous unqualified people in leadership positions. They are not able to provide the proper guidance and leadership to the associate teams. In order to meet the clients' requirements -- members of leadership have provided guidance to the Quality team to select only "good" calls to increase the quality scores -- to meet the client goals and avoid financial penalties. The call center associates' attendance records are terrible due to the fact -- they do not want to fire individual as it impacts their revenue. But if you did not fire bad employees and properly hire the right ones -- how is that helping you in the long run? When you think you job is bad enough-- it could be worse. This could be the company you work for. Yes -- I am currently looking for another position. |

Sad. ------------------------- My son works for ACS in Tempe, AZ and he loves it. I guess as with any other company it all depends on the location and the management at said locations. |

I left csc to come work for acs. They are both in trouble w/ the sec for filing. Never affected me. worked for csc for 8 1/2 yrs and enjoyed my career there. Left and got a 30% bump at acs. I believe the management like me there. Things are going well! |

ACS in Cheyenne WY is a great place to work, management is knowledgable, personable and concerned. There are company gatherings and everybody shows up but not because they have to, because they want to. Now admittedly Cheyenne is vintage 1950's in attitude and values but it grows on you. I came here a year ago from MA, a trip back to the past and it looks to be my future. |

I wish it was appropriate to drop names, because i would love to burn some of the managers on some of the crap they get away with, but i won't. A close source informed me that the Windows Manager position they are looking to fill in Liberty Corner NJ will be non existent. Chubb management decided it was time to bring in IT people as full time employees and not have ACS or third party contractors. ACS will be leaving Chubb soon and the contract for ACS will not be renewed. My informant also told me ACS is doing a terrible job with IT at Chubb. The technician turn-around is like a revolving door. In fact, he is submitting my resume to management for the Help Desk Manager at Chubb. |

Everyone here is correct this company was horrible and then they gave IBC (incentive based pay) sounds great unless they are cutting corners and getting mad when you actually note things you did...furthermore they dont understand their own policies before leaveing the company i explained in detail to management that if on IBC your going to increase my work load i WILL expect to be paid for the extra work being done...however their response was WE made an agreement to meet such and such a demand from this client..this is part of your job duties and you dont get paid extra for them...now that baffles me considering while we waited for IBC to take affect the big argueing point for management was.. "HEY YOUR GOING TO BE PAID FOR EVERY LITTLE THING YOU DO!!" yeah right try it and see how quick they are breathing down yer neck and saying..."you cant take credit for that"...even their payment system is complete BS!!news update for any of those who think IBC is a good idea...its simple b4 it took affect stockholders recieved a letter which stated...if we switch employees to IBC we can pay them 20% less overall and get more work out of them!!managment at ACS adviced me of this... This company takes complete advantage of the people that work for it and treats them like absolute garbage. |

I would like to share my opinion as well as information about my experience working at ACS. The hiring process was great. All the employees, trainers, and upper management were wonderful. Starting pay could be increased due to the stress of the center and we actually had a girl have a serious panic resulting in hospitalization. I worked there for near two years and advanced myself with my knowledge on my free time, thus making me a better employee, and a very well liked individual of the center. I was by far the best rep on the floor at the time and we had several other amazingly intelligent people. I was nominated by virtually every employee to apply for a supervisor position in which there were several of them becoming open. I applied, and was basically laughed at and told that I dont have enough experience. Many people who were below me got promoted to this position and myself as well as a few other people with more knowledge in the service and product we offered, were denied the position. I was always ahead on training, learning it before it was ever told that we would be training on it, and I would actually help during training classes, to get other familiar with the new services. But yet, I was screwed. Me and just about all my coworkers. I put my two weeks in, and was fired two days before because I offered to stay and work many hours on my days off so that I could help the company. They first said they could accommodate me and two days before my resignation, I was told they could not. I told my supervisor I quit. Next day he called, saying because I didn't show up he was filing my term papers. This company is a company you can work for if you cannot find anything else and I originally thought it would be a good company to work for. We have all got screwed, they increse work hostility, and they also stole my 1k incentive pay because I didnt finish working through the end of the last month. The benifits are HORRIBLE! |

I was invited to work for ACS in Monterrey, Mexico. They didn't provide support on the move and everything was on my own expense. The day I was to start they changed the contract conditions and I refused to accept. They woouldn't even reimburse my airfare and left me standing on the street on my own. I quit my former job to work for them and they did this to me. I managed to get back home and spoke to the manager I was to report to in the US (Rona Ryan). She acted very self-centered and basically told me she couldn't do anything... I decided to write to one of their Sr. VP's but nothing so far. My lawyer is already looking into this. So yes, ACS sucks. |

I have been watching the new CBS show, Undercover Boss. I know one company that I will never see on this show, ACS. ACS will kill to prevent the country from knowing how much they exploit and abuse their employees. I remember someone who worked on a different contract in my building tell me to never come back to work for them. She had been making over $10 an hour working for them. Unfortunately, her manager kept arguing with the client and the client fired ACS. After this, she got hired on another contract that paid less half of what she got before. Because she was making so much less, she couldn't make her car payments and the bank repossessed her car. Do you think Lynn Blodgett, the ACS CEO, cares about his employees? I know he doesn't. |

I am an employee for ACS a Xerox company in Montego Bay Jamaica. ACS placed a freeze on hiring, promotion and cash freeze and blamed it on the recession. They later acquire e-Services for $80 million USD and then Xerox acquire them. Neither companies has the heart to treat their employees with dignity, they treat us like trash. Its white color slavery, we are being paid $1.14USD per hour while the GM and anyone higher makes the big bucks doing nothing. The benefits are bad, do not supports dental. The pay is extremely ridiculous, I cannot provide food for my family, find taxi fare to return to work or purchase lunch while at work. I have been working for this company for 7years and going. One thing for sure, the pay keeps decreasing. The owners are heartless, they do not care about the employees. |

work for acs inc an outsourcing company that has a contract with Aetna. They hired us off the streets to apply the step therapy and precertification guidelines they established for 2010. I knew this was wrong from the very start of the job. So many medicare members that have been on life sustaining medications for years, go to the pharmacy to pick up their meds, are told when they get there that they are not covered. Many are on a fixed income, have trouble getting out to the pharmacy because of age and illness have to pay out of pocket for their pills or breathing treatments. Then, their doctor or nurse has to call us and practically beg for their patients medicine, taking time away from helping people in their office, and causing frustration and worry for both the patients, and the caretakers. T;h;is was a bait and switch tactic by Aetna to profit from the most vulnerable and helpless people. It is my wish that Aetna loses the government contract with medicare to punish them for the greed and downright hell that they have put people through since the start of the year. They do not care about the elderly or any other customers they have. They are in the game for only one reason___Profit!!!!!!!!! |

They started letting people go at the Cary, NC location. They started adding points up when we missed or were late. They gave us sick days and penalized us for taking them. Mysteriously the phones which logged our time were 5 minutes out of sync with our computers. People did not notice this and when we logged on to the phones, we were logging in late. All of a sudden they started firing people left and right! They planned this all along. They knew the government sanctions from Aetna were because we had such terrible training, they threw us up on the call center floor, and we had no idea what we were doing. Guess who suffered? The senior citizens who had to get thier medicine through Aetna. All the while, they harassed us all day with threatening e mails. No supervisor ever confronted us face to face. They hid in the corner and emailed us all day (nicole hackworth, candace lazar)If we had a customer on the phone, they would not help us. They insisted you submit a help request and never got back to you for hours. All the while, the customer is waiting. What a joke that place is. They even fire you through conference call. What cowards, what unprofessionalism. |

I echo the sentiments experienced by the SA, Texas writer. I think everyone thought Xerox, especially considering the excellent leadership of Ursula Burns, was going to ride in like a knight in shining armour and rescue ACS'ers from the fate of negligent and non-existent leadership. What a disappointment. They only want to use the customer base to reach their marketing objectives. What is sad is that a company in great social and economic standing like Xerox has assumed and maybe unknowingly so much of the negligence and liability ACS has racked up that hasn't come to light yet. In light of ACS heavy presence in government contracts, it is just a matter of time before they are immobilized by the mounting compliance and legal items that are hidden by the company-paid outside auditors. Independent audits on many levels should be conducted by Xerox, I believe they have a clause in their merger agreement on discrepancies and they should seriously be looking at this now and disclosing this now so they don't become responsible later as an unknowing victim of ACS wrongs. Xerox should conduct anonymous interviews/surveys with ACS'ers so there is no threat of retaliation from the negligent management staff. |

The problem is as long as there is milk to squeeze from the ACS udder nothing's going to happen. I don't believe Ursula wants or cares to know what's happening in her new toy, as long as it's paying the bills. it's going to take a major public black eye, or loss of revenue before they look at or care what happens. We should have seen that coming when they kept blodgett around. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. |

I really don't care who the owner of this company is, they are all the same!!! After waiting for 3yrs going 4 for my promotional increase that was promised and was not paid because of the freeze. ACS a Xerox company finally decides to release funds. I was finally relieved because recently hired employees were being paid more than me for the same position that I was promoted to. Can you believe, ACS would not pay us for the position, however they were willing to hire and pay someone else for the full cost of the position. These people are total lunatics and hypocrites who only thinks about their pockets. They gave us 10% of our previous salary and called it a promotion. This is just $285USD increase for the entire year. This is just ridiculous, why couldn't they give us 10% of what the promoted salary should be? These people are a bunch of heartless hypocrites who sells their souls to the devil. Note, I would not recommend this company for anyone to work. Ursula Burns, I thought you would've been our savior. However, it turns out that you are just like the rest. |

Workers in Tacoma, Washington 15 months ago |
ACS we have found to be a pretty crappy company to work for. We work locally in Washington State Turnover is about 85%; but if you are really desperate for a job it is the place to go because short of not breathing they hire anyone who is not a felon and can pass a drug test; ACS is a third party vendor for Verizon Wireless; and they train constantly because the turnover is so high so if you are a trainer there is definitely job security but it is a pretty thankless job. We think the money is being made in the constant expensive very bad training. It is a scam. It is a really strange place because when you are hired they emphasize fortune 500 stats, Xerox, and the like; status in other words but we are a bit concerned about even mentioning we work there because the response is so negative. Their sites are very dirty and frequently the toilets are plugged up it is simply disgusting. They have this system called ABC pay, but it is impossible to get the stats desired because the call volumes are pretty low. Not sure how they get away with this considering the wage laws. We saw on other sites there were lawsuits against ACS in other states for unlawful practices; and even in Texas, the headquarters heads of the company may go to jail for fraud. It is kind of scummy from the top down apparently. This is a job you do while you are looking for something else and most of our class split before they hit the production floor. We have met alot of nice people but be prepared; the lifers in this company are not honest and will try to screw you up. They do not want smart or talented people, just desperate people who need a job and you have to work much overtime because basically you are earning minimum wage. If you are a Verizon Wireless Customer, We recommend being careful with your account because the folks at this place are so new and untrained things get screwed up very easily. Work in America used to be honorable...the greed factor means workers are dirt. |
