I have spent 10 years working for Cendant/PHH and GMAC. I like the idea of working from home. Do they provide you with the phone system? Can you choose your hours? What is the base salary? Are the benefits any good (need to insure my wife and kids).

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

Mike I am looking into this company myself, and wondering.

I am a former call center Sales Supervisor and Trainer. Working for several fortune 500 and 1000 companies. I'll be happy to share any info I have with you as I learn it myself.

I do not work for the company nor, am I certain I am headed in that direction, but I am considering it because it seems like training and leadership is something that they need and I am good at.

From my own research the salary is Min Wage Draw on future commissions. This is very standard for commissioned sales verses the in house position.

They have a Internet based phone system that needs high speed internet access 5mg+ (IE Cable, or higher than standard dsl) to run well.

If you worked the inbound position it seems like they are sending calls direct now from Internet Leads from all the major sites, including theirs. You then take a ton of calls (either auto dialing, or reverse inbound) I do not work for them so I do not know how many or how much. I have ran teams that do call outs in the past, and if its an auto dialer 90+ an 8 hour day would be reasonable, considering that is with left messages, no answers, and so on and so forth. If you have worked inbound only this can be a tough switch but can certainly work for you if you can sell. (I site the Internet Leads focus on their own wants for new agents and their recruiting website)

It seems like looking again from the outside in (company leaders feel free to correct me, or contact me) that they do a good deal recruiting and less good training/ follow up. This makes sense too that they want now at least 60K proof of income from the past 12 months to make certain you are self sufficient. That is fine but boy a good trainer/ sales manager could do much better if they trained and motivated a team of both inbound and outside sales professionals.

If you are still employed and thinking that the grass is greener, we should talk. I do not know anything about the company (from the inside), but I do know about leaving a staff job as a leader and running my own business for the last 24 months.

As a consultant yes I have made a ton more income. However; like a sales position my income is never certain. One month I get a gig doing something in TX next at home in VA, one month 25k the next 5K. So Cavet Empor (think I spelled that correct - Buyer Beware).

If you consider jumping make certain that you do your own homework, are comfortable working leads both inbound, and outbound, and that you are fine with carrying your own insurance under Cobra for your family for at least 90 days, or longer to get comfortable with the new job or coverage. (This is true no matter where you jump ship to)

Make darn certain that even with your experience (which 10 years is great) that you have a support system in place. Meaning not someone to teach you to recruit but someone to help you with anything and everything you need. Also running a home office with Kids and a Spouse is very rough for 90% of people. Sounds great at first but it is rough. Consider spending $500-$1000 a month for a shared office set up near your home if available (most areas have some). Consider the out of pocket to get this going, and look at it like starting your own insurance agency, or other such business and you are close to right.

Be happy to help anyway I can, just thought I would offer since no one answered your post. All the best.

Boy you really have a rosey outlook, thats great but don't waste here. They are not concerned with motivating except to say look at the the top 2-5% that are doing great. They don't have time for half the stuff you are discussing becuase its cheaper to just keep hiring (and firing) and get rid of the less then excellent producers and move on the next "training class". They are recruiting ALL over the place, just goggle them on any job site and there is a write up about how much monet you will make. You CANNOT do a shared office with anyone so put that out your head because you cannot be a branch or net branch. With your experience listed, you sound pretty much like my friend in NV, he worked at Chase, Advanta, and he worked with me at one time at Conti-mortgage, so the experience is there and he is a straight shooter. He explained that he read all the post both negative & Positive as well as on other blog sites (not to mention the BBB in Atlanta over 141 claims) but still decided to give it a try but it doesn't appear to be what he was looking for or what we all all saw with the webcast. Your absolutely right about the working from home part, not as easy as it sounds.

I understand your attempt to recruit, and I do not want to bash you just offer a little help. Talking about plumbers and 20 year olds making 700k is not what you want to do to attract professionals.

If someone has trained you to do that run do not walk away.

If a company leads with as Thomas said only hype on what 2-5% top earners make, instead of vision, tools, and their business model it should be a very valid concern to anyone of sound mind, and judgment.

I understand what you are trying to do and again I am not attacking you just offering a comment that you should not do that. It presents you and the company in the worst light I have seen to date, and supported the negatives of many others.

If you want to recruit that way I suggest Quixstar or whatever Amway is calling themselves this year.

Again not trying to hurt your feelings, but just let you know at 25 or whatever, that is not the way to go.

Now your recruiter will say he is just being negative, and to ignore me, but avoid that person at all cost if you were trained to do that. I have been there and done it (almost all) I even published 4 books last year alone, not to ring my own bell (it was just something I wanted to do for a long time).

So I have been there done that and then wrote the book. Just don't do it. It makes you and the company look cheap and I think if you are a self starter and someone trying to get ahead in life on your own two feet you are not that guy.

Best of luck to you.

Amerisave is a joke. They have zero support for their outside sales people. They say you can build teams but thats a lie also. Their commision split is a lie. They take the 1st $1000 then they take loan loss reserves of over 30%. Then they take their cut and pay you 80% of whats left. its actually about 40-50%.. Inside sales is no better. They careless about people... I watched as top producer after top producer came and went. Upper management is making all the money.. They have little support to support top producers. I had weeks that I submitted over 10 lock requests and would only get 5 or less actually locked. They dock your pay for any and every reason they can. Managers care less about your loans because they have 50 or more people on their teams so as long as everyone is doing a few loans they make big bucks.. RUN RUN RUN from Amerisave as fast as you can!!!!!!!! By the way their CRM lead system is so out of compliance that I pray one day I get a call from an investigator so they can be shut down once and for all. They are the scum of the business and give the rest of us a bad name....

AMEIRSAVE IS A JOKE AND INSULT TO ANY HUMAN BEING THAT IS HONESTLY TRYING TO GET THE JOB DONE AND EARN A LIVING.

1ST OF ALL THEIR FEES ARE HIGHER THAN ANY BROKER SHOP...MAYBE THE SAME AS THE BIG BANKS. THEY DO HAVE GOOD TECHNOLOGY, ONLINE CURRENT RATES.

THE WORST PROBLEM WITH THEM WAS THE SUPPORT. WHEN YOU HAVE A CUSTOMER CALLING FOR AN UPDATE ON THEIR LOANS AND YOU CALL AND EMAIL YOUR TEAM LEAD OR PROCESSOR FOR AN ASSISTANCE AND CAN'T GET THEM TO RETURN YOUR MESSAGES...THRE ARE NO RESPECT FOR AN EMPLOYEE TRYING TO FEED A FAMILY AND THE CUSTOMER THAT IS COUNTING ON THEM TO GET A LOAN..THERE IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY JUST DON'T CARE!

THERE ARE FEW MAKING MONEY...THOSE THAT HAVE CONNECTIONS INSIDE THE COMPANY AND GET THE VIP SUPPORT...I GUESS THOSE ONES THAT PERSONALLY KNOWS EVERYONE AT CORP.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS COMPANY IS STILL IN BUSINESS....JUST CHECK THE BBB FOR HUNDREDS OF UNRESOLVED COMPLAINTS AGAINST AMERIDAVE...AND LET'S NOT FORGET RIPOFFREPORT.COM WHERE YOU WILL BE HORRIFIED WITH CUSTOMERS STORIES THAT WHEN I READ THEM I FELT LIKE I WROTE THEM BECAUSE THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT SOME OF MY CUSTOMERS AND I AS A LO WENT THRU...FOR EXAMPLE..IF A PROCESSOR QUITS OR GETS FIRED...DO YOU YOU THING THE PROCESSING DEPT WILL NOTIFY THE LO TO CONTACT ANOTHER PROCESSOR? ANYONE WOULD THINK SO..RIGHT? NOT AT AMERISAVE...THEY DON'T CARE...THEY GO GET LOTS OF BUSINESS AND CAN'T HANDLE THE VOLUME..BUT THAT IS NOT AN EXCUSE TO TREAT EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS LIKE GARBAGE JUST BECAUSE THEY CAN AFFORD TO TURN WAY BUSINESS DUE TO THEY HIGH MARKETING CAMPAIGNS ON BANKRATE.COM WHICH IS ANOTHER SITE OF LIARS.
