I received my first e-mail approximately 2 months ago for my intial testing which I have complete about 3 weeks ago. But since then I have had no contact no interview and the only reply I have received via e-mail is that my resume is still under review, is this normal or should I just start looking for another job? At att.jobs it shows the job status as job posting open and my testing status completed. With the lack of communication I feel like if I'm being given the run around and they are just wasting my time.

Never rest on your laurels! keep looking in the meantime because it may be a while.. AT&T are pretty slow, and you may find temporary work in the meantime. Who knows, you may even find something better! If the job posting is still open, that means they are leaving time for enough candidates to apply. I had to wait 5 months to proceed for the next step which is another assessment, and i still have yet to talk to Hire Right or take the physical and drug screenings.

Also, you could always apply for other positions in the area to get your foot in the door at AT&T, because like most big companies, those already employed will get preferential treatment. It will also increase your chances of being called by applying for more than one position or location.

Thank you for your kind words its just frustrating because in my area there are not a lot of positions that I can start a career in and my education is starting to feel like a waste. Soon my certifications will be expiring and I will have to do this all over and at the same cruddy job.

Ok so I have a bit of a status update the position I'm applying for has turned to inactive (no longer taking applications) this past Monday. I have not heard anything from anyone but my status still hasnt changed from Testing Status update. Does your status change if you have not received the position or do they just leave you uninformed? I have sent and email to the only person who would respond back and I know in my area there just are not a lot of technicians and so I can't believe they have found anyone more qualified than me. So do I still cling onto hope for this job or give up and try elsewhere?

Eventually, the status will change to "Job Posting Filled." At that time your personal status will probably change to "not selected." "No longer accepting applications" means that the posting date has now expired. It doesn't mean that you are no longer being considered. So, keep your chin up and keep checking the status from time to time.

AS SVK said, it means they are not taking any new applications, but will start selecting from those who already applied.
