For the longest time, Abbott has been the big kid on the block in Chicago for pharma. and medical devices. Now that more companies are in the area it is clear that Abbott was taking advantage of this situation and offerring low wages with empty promises. After working there for 7 years I finally realized that the world is a much bigger place and got out....and thankfully so! A 55% pay increase is a blessing!

I agree. They dont pay as well as you would think even in a salaried position. I left and got 40% raise at another place right from the get go. The benefits are good but theres others that have comparable benefits.
