What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable?

How does ABM Industries stack up against the competition?

Lay-offs are not inevitable. I got laid-off due to my position being eliminated. Morale is low because everyone knows that more lay-offs are coming, but they don't know who will be next.

I loved working there, and I did not see this coming. I was devastated. The company is going to survive, but a lot of good people have been let go.

This had the potential to be one of the best jobs ever. I've come to the conclusion that ABM stands for: Anything But Management or All Bonus Money (for management). I am a member of a 10 man team(now 9 since a coworker quit)that was bid as a 15 man contract. They do not support the field staff at all.
Honesty and integrity are foreign words. Nothing but double talk and shady dealings.

The pay is fair but never believe the "Plenty of O.T. / All you can handle" line.

I do understand this is customer service based BUT the tail wags the dog.

I know I sound bitter but my team has been lied to and duped since DAY 1, and if the economy was better I would've been able to leave already. I am not the only one that feels this way and just about everyone on my team is looking for greener pastures.
