I have enrolled to read the CPC. I have submitted PJ13 together with the Consulting Service Process Template. Unfortunately I failed and was advised to focus on the Consultancy Service Process Template before submitting PJ13 and PJ25. I did and I resubmitted the Service Process Template recently. I am now trying to work on PJ13 but I am finding it difficult to comprehend what I should be doing and how to present my work. Could anyone help me please? Many thanks Josef |

Hi Josef If you are struggling to develop your service process template Josef it may be because you do not have a clear picture in your mind about the service that you want to develop. I struggles with this at first. It is one thing knowing what you want your service to achieve, it is entirely another thing to develop a tangible service process to achieve it. This is where CPC tends to sort out the men from the boys so to speak because anyone can list objectives that they want their service to achieve. If you refer to your service process form (developed at your interview) this should help you. I don't know what your service is but if it is a software or a training programme, etc then this is what you should be developing with your service template. I did a lot of research on the internet and in libraries/book shops etc to try and find processes that had already been developed that were similar to what I wanted to do. You cannot copy these obviously but it helped me considerably when coming up with my own ideas. Remember that it is not an A-Z of objectives that you need. It is an A-Z of service processes. Then simply categorise them under the service categories incorporated within PJ13 (internal analysis, research and development, strategic objectives) etc and away you go. Once you have your direction Josef then you should be fine. Do communicate with the tutors as well. They are really excellent and have helped me a lot. Hope this helps Josef. Good luck. Kevin |

Hi Kevin, Thank you for your prompt reply. I do appreciate your support and comments. Knowing that there are others on my same boat, gives me comfort. So, Thank you all. Regarding my CPC: I finished and sent my service template as instructed by the tutors, who were very helpful. My concern is what to include and how to present my work for the PJ13. If you could kindly give me some tips on what should I include in the Preliminary Analysis, R&D, Evaluation & Selection and Direction pages, I would be very grateful. I did a lot of research to develop the processes for the service template, so I know how to achieve the objectives of the proposed training programme. I have also identified a number of business models and frameworks. What I lack is what contents should I feature in the PJ13, as on one page it is not practical to list all the processes related to Preliminary Analysis for the 12 sub-sections of each module. So if you could share some tips, I would be more than happy and thankful. Thanks once again. Josef |

Josef You are welcome. Firstly, the preliminary analysis, R&D, evaluation and selection etc are the CPC processes that you should be working through as part of PJ13. You should not be using these processes for your own service. You need to develop your own. You need to develop your service processes for internal analysis, R&D, strategic objectives, etc. You need to think about the process that will be implemented within your client companies. If as you say you are developing a training programme then this presumably will be the tool that you will use to imlement your service process. So you will need to develop the process that clients will use and the training programme that you will use to facilitate the implrmentation of the service process. If you lack the content, then you will probably need to undertake more research. Hope this helps. Kevin |
