Today, I was told, I did not qualify for a 15.00 per hour job that was 5 minutes from my house because I am not on welfare assistance (enrollment is WOTC). Then I was informed that I had no worthwhile employment skills and she (the Employee) had Sales Quotas to make and I wasn't a priority. Did I mention that I have owned and operated two businesses for the last 14 years and was a Construction Project Coordinator for the ten years prior to that for a major retailer? I have never been treated with such disrespect! |

All companies get a goverment credit when they hire people on goverement aid. Somtimes this credit is very attractive to the employer, so they hire people that are receiving benefits from the goverment. Going to a employement agency is probably a bad experience, look at all the comments, the are far more bad comments than good. |

I was told that I was asking for too much money a 16.00 to 17.00 an hour. I got paid tis without the degree and 8 years experience and now with a four-year degree i should only be worth 10.00 to 12.00 an hour?? get real. if anything the 16.00 to 17.00 an hour was was too little. It is real and it happens. |

Such anger and abuse. No wonder you cannot gain employment. I am so sorry you are that angry. |

I have never been treated with such disrespect! I am on welfare and govn. assistance and do you know I'd rather not say that I am because people that are are treated with more disrespect than those that are not on the assistance. When your on assistance it is a total invasion of privacy so as far as a recruiters comments well I can understand your anger...But look at it from the other side...This is in no way to justify what a recruiter may have said to you and I feel sorry that anyone includding yourself got treated that way its not right.....And people like that have no bussiness placing people they are obviously bias....It should be equal based on skills so I completely agree with you there... |
