Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Accountemps? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Accountemps? |

People are dressed in suits and ties (for the men). Once you reach the goal set for your desk - they fire you to make sure you will not "take the business" with you when you leave. It is not a matter of if it is a matter of when you leave. This company is a sweat shop that dempands so much from their employees that they do not have time and are so burned out (70 - 80 hour work weeks) that most are in robotic state due to the demapnd of the position. A typical day? 7am meeting and a 7pm meeting every day. |

Is a 70 hour week typical? Also, what is the salary/commission structure for a new employee? |

I worked there for a long time myself. Yes, they will burn you out there. If you want to become a professional recruiter, it is a good place to get your training, but you have to stick it out for a year there. They will work you to death, and yes, they fire everyone once they have gotten you to give them all of your business. Very low base salaries...lucrative commission structures...if you make it that far. |

That company is crazy and most who work in the higher-up positions are nasty. I was discriminated against because I was overweight and was fired and to this day don't know why. I was bringing in tons and tons of business. In addition it's a sweatshop. I would tell everyone to avoid that company like the plague and never take an inside job there. They are horrible people. |

Accountemps is one of the best companies I have ever worked for. Yes, I work hard - on average 50-60 hours per week, but trust me - it's a gratifying thing to find someone employment. I can't speak on behalf of every Accountemps office, but our office is very professional and we return every phone call. I have been here two years now and plan on staying for as long as I can still work the long hours. |
