It is so anoying to click on a link like the one that brings you to hotgigs and then have your back button locked out - I pledge never to knowingly click on an Adecco / hotgigs link again !

Same here. All they are doing is shooting themselves in the foot. I stopped clicking on their ads long ago. The same jobs are elsewhere anyway.
