If I would of now known then what I know now I would not have even considered going with Adecco Technical. Last year I accepted a Temp Position in Scarborough, ME. Since I wanted to relocate back to New England I took a chance. I was given the impression that I would be given a fair chance at a full-time position with the firm I was being placed at on a 6 month contract. In fact the person I interviewed with by phone even told me that it would be the case. So I packed up and moved to Maine giving up a great job and company. Little did I know they had no intention on ever placing me into a full-time position and to keep me in a compromising position fully dependent on the staffing specialist. Well I gave them the benefit of the doubt and because I made a commitment to both Adecco and the firm I was placed at. Unfortunately they did not see it the way I did just using me to fill a need and then tossing me to the curb after 4 months. So I was now unemployed and the only positions that they sent me for interviews for were for jobs that I was not qualified for. In fact the recruiter even sabotaged an offer to me for a full-time position with another company. I finally did get a full-time position with a company on my own while at the same time Adecco was doing practically nothing to help me. Now I'm back in Florida. I did learn a lesson from all of this "Do Not Trust Any Recruiters". I hope this helps in the decision process. Best of Luck

Hi BG. 4 months still sounds like a pretty long time. You made the decision to pack up and leave to go to Maine. I don't know if you planned very smartly. Moving 1,000s of miles and then saying it's another company's fault for your inadequacy to plan correctly doesn't seem very fair. It was a contract position, and they are almost never guaranteed . Four months is a long time to look for another opportunity, even if it's not your ideal one.

I think you need to take a computer course at your local community college or university. Learn computer navigated control machining. It'll make you more marketable.
