Advantage sales and marketing has two job postings. One is for a retail SALES merchandising and the other is a retail MERCHANDISING job. What is the difference and does anyone know what the difference is between the pay for full time?

Barb, I work in CA as a retail SALES merchandiser. This person will typically work for only one Manufacturer, say Gatorade, and have a more or less set route. The pay is very mediocre, but there are benefits.
I have a gas card, the allowance is small, but a fairly generous, non-taxable car allowance paid on my paycheck. The retail merchandising job is part-time, flexible and can usually be done around other jobs. I did this job for many years before changing teams, you do different things all the time. It is usually pay per job, but sometimes hourly.
Hourly ranges, I am not sure the rate in Chicago.

I was just called today by a Talent Recruiter at ASM. I'm a little hesitant about signing my name and giving all my personal info but it seems okay and they are listed on the BBB website. How were you able to verify that this one is legitimate?

ASM is a huge company and definitely legit. I have worked for them for several years and been into the offices. Do not worry about it. Look at their website www.asmnet.com
