Okay, when I worked there this place was a comedy show that wasn't funny. The account managers were pathetic. they couldn't bring in any new business, and most of their accounts were from people who had left the company. They basically forced out the only good account manager after trying to demote him to a recruiter...AND they were propping up this woman who had NO MORALS and slept her way up the ladder. She used to sleep with the DBO of the office! Who was married!! It was crazy. She later got reprimanded for sleeping with a guy in the hallway of a hotel. It was amazing. Such sleazy people work there and the turnover is amazing. I left. I could take it. Terrible pay. Awful bosses. Horrible people. Anyone who was good quit. It was just a nightmare. I lasted way too long there, I started doubting my own worth.

The recruiters at this company are VERY FLAKEY. I was contacted by Aerotek via email and the recruiter practically begged for me to provide him with my resume. After numerous emails we met and he reviewed my resume claiming, "you have the qualifications to fill positions at Aerotek." I sent an email follow up within 10 days to inquire about the opportunities and have had NO RESPONSES.

As a professional courtesy, recruiters do owe the potential employee a response. Either you have the qualifications or you don’t. It works both ways though, Aerotek could avoid all of the negative posts and blogs by being up front and professional with a simple email to the applicant.

If you do not wish to have a recruiting firm represent you, send a certified letter with the following notice. “You do not have permission to represent NAME for any purposes of employment or share any personal information whatsoever. You also do not have permission specifically, but not limited to, maintain, store or keep electronic files of any kind, verbally share information whatsoever about my person in any manner.” Request you're resume be deleted.

Then, request under the Freedom of Information Act, information they have on file about you. When they deny such data exists, keep track of the correspondence in the event something does come up. I applied for a position with a recruiter some 20 plus years ago and again a few months back. I was surprised to find they still had information on file. Be upfront, but know you’re rights when dealing with the unscrupulous.

You’re wasting your time dealing with Aerotek. And yes I’m sending them the above as I choose not to have them represent me.
