Do you work at Aerotek Professional Services? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?

Any advice for someone trying to get in?

Yes, I work for Aerotek. And as soon as a find a new job (which I hope is VERY soon), I won't be working for them anymore. Don't bother with these people.

I applied at Aerotek, was led on for 10 weeks, had a job shadow, thought i was going in for an offer but was told 'thanks, but no thanks however we don't want to close the door on you completely because we like you.' I'm so angry with them and disgusted at how they could let me go on for so long. If I'm not good enough now, I never will be. Don't bother!

I applied for several positions at one time with Aerotek. I was called in for an interview within 48 hours by two separate recruiters. I was also offered a position and this was all done within one weeks time. They don't however guarantee a position once you have met with them but I was qualified for the positions I applied for and was given the opportunity to decide which one I was most interested in.

You are the only luck dog. I would say 95% of the people who applied with the Aerotek do not get a job. What they are doing is that they as you for your work number and call your employers to fill the job for them once you leave. Why would you be applying if you are not leaving your job.
If you have experience you will see that the first thing they want is your work number. If you ever put it in, you are in for a treat. These people are very evil.

Thanks for sharing that information. I applied for a job that I KNOW I am qualified for and I have yet to hear from them. It's been a month since I applied.

HR Dude, you have got to be kidding me! They will call your employer to fill your position? Why am I surprised? 95% of the recuriters in the temp industry are just like used car salesmen, sleezy and slimmy.

I was told by someone in the recruiting industry that Aerotek posts phony jobs so they can get resumes from people so they can use your previous employers for their benefit. That is, they call on them to offer their services. DO NOT SEND THEM YOUR RESUME! They are using you! They will not find you a job!

But how do they pick people to fill your old job then? Where do they come from?

That's simple. They have more applicants then they have jobs on hand. It's a cycle. Get a job seeker who applied, and they have new lead.
