Not sure I can offer any suggestions as to how to strike the right note. I recently applied for a job offered through Aerotek. I'll never make that mistake again.
The recruiter I talked to asked an illegal question. I've been out of work for three years and she got really nosey about where my money was coming from.
First off, it's none of her business
And second, it's an illegal question because it's a fishing expedition for all kinds of stuff she can't legally ask about directly. Like age, marital status, children.
Needless to say it was all downhill from there.
Like who trains these people anyway.
