Has anyone applied for an Aerotek technical job and learned that the actual job duties had little relation to the ad description? In other words, you sign up to run one type of complex equipment (that you've got technical experience with) but the actual work involves much simpler (boring) stuff with a lower level of co-workers. You end up wasting your skills and time.

How common is this with temp agencies in general? I came across a blatant case of it with Aerotek. Even after I told them in great detail, they reposted the same job description a few weeks later.

This is definitely a problem. I am through them currently in a similar situation where they used bait & Switch tactics to get me in the door, then drop the pay by over 1/3 value what I agreed to. This included both per hour pay and direct hire (would have included benefits) vs contract status. This company is immoral and unethical. Do not believe anything they have not already put in writing.
