What's the company culture at aig?

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at aig?

Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?

What is a typical day in the life of an employee at aig?

I worked for a rival company of AIG; that was Cigna. We did have a casual Friday, but not many get togethers on Friday or anything like that. A lot of the time, I didn't know about them or wouldn't attend. I mostly hung with people outside the company.

I worked for AIG in their HQ data center in NJ for 15 years and was laided off in april 03 with many other people.In 2000 things went down hill the management started changing from the top down and continued to change every 3 months there after.they hired management that had one concept outsource layoff and migrate to the new data center in houston tx.the main problem at AIG is people don't talk to each other and rely on email only.phone what is that ? verify huh? oh and if your a thin tall beautiful woman you will go far there is so much inter office relationships going on yuk......

management is on cruise control.everyone walks around like zombies and who can they screw today attitude.totally un productive DO YOU REALLY WANT TO WORK FOR THIS COMPANY ? did you read about M Greenburg former ceo of aig and the attorney general Spitzer I wonder how much spitzer got paid to keep maurice out of Jail... ? hmmmm very shady company it turned out to be.. they need BIG changes...stop hiring friends of friends whos last job was a x fired rocket scientist at raetheon and has no idea what a server or network is.it used to be a great company now they are finally closing the doors in NJ data center and migrated their people problems to houston. goodluck AIG
