that was a mean comment. Mark - if you seriously want to work for Aimco (although I can't imagine why you would), call the Human Resources Director directly. Sometimes these HR people with too much ear wax, lose track of their applicants. I think its an equilibrium issue. What they are looking for: high energy, willingness to work overtime without being paid for it, hvac, plumbing and electrical ability. It helps to have hvac certification. If you don't have hvac certification, you will probably be put in some utility type position and will do mostly punch work on apartment turns. Be prepared to take on call at least every other week. The benefit to property management maintenance positions is that you get a lot of "jack of all trades" type experience. Good luck |
