I am an employee working for Ajilon Consulting in St Louis, MO for the last 2 years. They are a good company to work. They have good list of clients and marketing is very good. They have good benefits and processes (payroll, HR). However please note the following:

- They pay lower than other Staffing and consulting companies.
- Don't offer any bench salary between projects.
- They don't pay GC expenses.
- They don't pay for spouse's H4 application.

Ajilon is sometimes good, sometimes bad. But it is unusal for anyone to work for them for more than one contract. I myself was lied to by a account manager who claimed I'd be on a contract for multiple years when the client needed someone for 4 months. When I became friends with the client, I found out the truth and was laid-off when the contract was over. Judge for yourself. Also, my account manger was paranoid and thought I was out to get her...very strange behavior, including threats. That's not the norm, but you have to be careful who you work with.

I used to be an Account Manager for Ajilon. They have a strict policy on how all H-1's are handled through their immigration department. Since they are ISO certified, they have to strictly adhere to those rules. I only had one person working for me that was H-1 through Ajilon. Are you planning on getting a green card? If so, make sure you talk to the main immigration contact at the corporate office to ensure you get things going in the proper format. If you aren't certain, you can try and have your H-1 transferred to a subcontractor vendor that can put you in the proper channels for this. Sometimes they will pay you less and keep you on a bench so you don't lose your place in the Green card line - if the green card is most important to you. The minute you transfer your H-1, you lose your place in the green card line.

Hope this helps.

I got an email from one of their idiot recruiters seeking a Sr. Server Engineer for a contract role. The position is anything but server engineering as the majority of the work involves desktop support issues and user support. I told the recruiter that at my level, I no longer deal with desktop support issues and am angered at the fact that the position is being misrepresented. This idiot simply would not take no for an answer. He was trying to convince me that they have already interviewed numerous candidates for this job and I responded to him by stating that the best candidates they'll get are desktop support techs who lack experience working with servers are looking to gain exposure to it because experiences server engineers will not be wasting time with desktop imaging and support, as that is a separate job in itself for lower level people. I have added Ajilon to my craplist of agencies to not deal with because like Spherion and Mergis, they try to dress up positions because they can't find anyone willing to take their fraudulent bait.
